These two have quite the wedding story to tell…
After 2 years of delayed plans due to the pandemic, they FINALLY got to have the tropical wedding adventure of their dreams. It was finally here— their adventurous Barbados wedding. While they were ecstatic to be there, nuance issues started to pop up left and right. Their friends crashed their Barbados rental car, many guest and family members flights were getting delayed, and then even worse… their wedding photographers flights got delayed (aka me). My first flight got delayed, causing me to miss my connecting flight. I wasn’t guaranteed a flight until Friday, 2 days later. The bummer here is that they had an all-day all inclusive catamaran trip planned for friday I was going to photograph. THANKFULLY, I was able to fly standby the next day, making it the night before their Catamaran ride out of Bridgetown. Then, the icing on top, the day of their wedding, seconds before their ceremony, a storm rolled through cutting out power…
The planner got on the phone with the power company, and within MINUTES, they were out there fixing it up to make sure the bride and groom had the perfect day. The locals were beyond kind and welcoming, and truly made the experience wonderful. Before we knew it, the power was back on! The rest of the day was absolutely flawless.
I say all this to say— these two rolled with the punches, stayed positive, and knew that any troubles that happened could not take away from the fact that at the end of the day, they were getting married surrounded by their closest loved ones.
